This is the first article I’m writing that focuses on something other than the Tennessee Titans, but my favorite team is the primary motivation for this post. Keep reading to find out why.
I like Tom Brady. I even like Randy Moss. But I do not like Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots.
Unless you’ve been hiding under the proverbial rock, you know that Roger “The Enforcer” Goodell punished the Patriots for videotaping the New York Jets’ defensive signals during last Sunday’s game. Coach Belichick was fined half a million dollars. However, the harshest punishment comes next season if New England makes the playoffs: the loss of a first-round draft pick.
Why, beyond being a fan of the NFL, do I care? Because, as a Titans fan, what New England did while playing Tennessee during the last game of the 2006 NFL season showed no class. Putting Vinny Testaverde into this game to extend a record streak was completely uncalled for and unsportsmanlike.
Go to this page and watch the 2006 week 17 “highlight” featuring Testaverde’s record-breaking touchdown pass.
