In a recent interview, Texas Longhorns head football coach Mack Brown says he understands why Vince Young wanted to quit after struggling as quarterback of the Tennessee Titans. Brown says he wants to quit everytime he loses a game.

The following quote shows that Coach Brown still thinks highly of the player who helped him win the 2005 BCS National Championship at Texas:

He has to continue to work to play at the highest level. I still think he will win a Super Bowl and be inducted into the Hall of Fame when he finishes.

I believed this when Vince Young’s professional career began. I hope Mack Brown is right.
